9/12 Platform: 9 Principles, 12 Values

| July 15, 2011

9 Principles 1. America is good. The Constitution is a document that forever changed the relationship between man and government. Our Founders believed in Natural Law – that each of us is born into freedom and that the proper role of government is to protect and secure the rights of life, liberty, and property, not [...]

Political Granny: Dr. Eichenbaum answers the questions we all have

| May 1, 2010

A hat tip to Political Granny, a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and fantastic blogger (She just so happens to be a Dr. Dan supporter too!) for posting this article detailing Dr. Eichenbaum’s positions on several key issues.

Will you vote to quickly secure our nation’s borders, for our national security and to maintain the U.S. as a sovereign nation?

Ronald Reagan reminded us that “A nation without borders is not a nation.” Yes, I would vote to immediately secure the US borders by dramatically increasing recruitment, training, and hiring of border patrol agents, construction of physical and electronic barriers, and using the National Guard as a stop gap measure. If the US can successfully guard 103 nuclear power plants within the states, surely we can protect the borders of our country. [Read more here]

Concerning the FairTax

| April 13, 2010

Tenth Amendment Center: Tenth Amendment Summit Recap

| March 16, 2010

From the Tenth Amendment Center:

For two days last week, candidates for both state and federal offices in the 2010 elections gathered together to discuss strategies for upholding a strict interpretation of the 10th Amendment, which states, “The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.” The candidates presented their views and ideas to a capacity crowd last Friday.

In a joint statement read to the crowd, the nearly two-dozen candidate participants pledged to “limit and restrain all federal government exercise of power that exceeds in any way the plain language of those few powers listed in the Constitution and to nullify all others that exceed such limit.” [Read more]

Heath Shuler and Fiscal Responsibility, an Oxymoron

| February 13, 2010

In spite of promises made on his website and in disregard for all economic common sense, our representative, Heath Shuler, voted in favor of raising the limit on the national debt by $1.9 trillion. In doing so, Mr. Shuler displays his inability to comprehend the basic fact that continued deficit spending will lead our nation to an inevitable financial collapse. [Read more]
