Q & A

A hat tip to Political Granny, a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and fantastic blogger (She just so happens to be a Dr. Dan supporter too!) for posting this article detailing Dr. Eichenbaum’s positions on several key issues.
Will you vote to quickly secure our nation’s borders, for our national security and to maintain the U.S. as a sovereign nation?
Ronald Reagan reminded us that “A nation without borders is not a nation.” Yes, I would vote to immediately secure the US borders by dramatically increasing recruitment, training, and hiring of border patrol agents, construction of physical and electronic barriers, and using the National Guard as a stop gap measure. It is noteworthy that the entire region within a nuclear power plant fence is considered federal land and strongly guarded by federal deputized agents. If the US can successfully guard 103 nuclear power plants within the states, surely we can protect the borders of our country. [Read more here]

Dr. Eichenbaum was pleased to have had the NRA rate his questionnaire with such high marks and was surprised to learn of the apparent miscommunication within the distinguished organization, of which he is a proud member. “I remain proud of the NRA’s “A” rating on my candidate questionnaire”, Dr. Eichenbaum stated, “I am also proud my 100% rating by “Grassroots North Carolina”, our state’s leading advocate and defender of 2nd Amendment rights.” [Read more]

A nation is not a nation without borders. It is essential for our security that we enforce the immigration laws as currently written and erect whatever barriers are necessary to prevent illegal aliens, drug smugglers, and terrorists from having unlimited entry to our country. [Read more]

Problems I see that need fixing with the FairTax
- FairTax rate of 23% + 7.75% sales tax in NC = 30.75% or 31 cents out of your pocket, for each dollar you spend, that you do not have to spend.
- Will make customers think twice about a purchase when they see the 31 cents added on to the cost. It is a 31% increase in the cost of an item. Most likely it will reduce sales. Less sales, less jobs, less merchandise sold, and around and around we go. FairTax states why punish the producer? Well it does, with less sales there are less items to be produced.

I thought the debate was very good. FYI, I would like to pass on to you that Iraq was the right move. We did find WMD’s. The last yr. of GW Bush the U.S. ship 200,000lbs of “yellow cake” to Canada for disposale. I liked what I heard from you. I think 4 of the others lost a lot of point tonight. Kenny West was the only one the I think is still a challange. I look forward to more events and taking back “OUR SEAT”! Thank you. [Read more]

On Thurs, April 1, the Asheville Citizen-Times had a Letter to the Editor by S. Benson King stating you are in favor of legalizing drugs. I sent a message through your website yesterday questioning this, but have not had a response, so I am trying this e-mail to determine your stance on this issue. [Read more]
